The AX24 and Sphynx2 have been developed by Digital Audio Denmark and Merging Technologies, offering the latest in crystal chip technology to become the most advanced and sonically transparent audio AD/DA converters yet developed.
These super high quality multi bit converters offer A/D and D/A conversion in PCM sample rates from 44.1Khz to 352.8Khz DXD (Digital eXtreme Definition )and DSD 1-bit 64FS and 128fs.
The clever modular design of the AX24/Sphynx-2 offers the 2U 19”rackmount unit to be fitted with either 2, 4, 6, or 8 channels of analogue line or Mic/line inputs and 2, 4, 6, or 8 channels of analogue DA outputs resulting in the most cost-effective means of achieving up to 8 channels of world class AD-DA . A range of digital i/o interface cards are available including MADI, SDIF, AES-EBU, and TDIF with up to 3 types fitted at one time.
DAD’s DADman PC remote control software allows remote control of all gains and setup functions via an RS 422 connection over long distances allowing the unit to be located in a machine room or used as a stage box close to the recording source.
