Pyramix V6 Uninstall/Reinstall Procedure
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BEGINNING THE UNINSTALL PROCEDURE.

Backup Settings
Settings > All Settings > Save > Save Pyramix settings file (*.pms)
Settings > Keyboard Shortcuts > Save Table > Save Pyramix Keyboard Shortcut file (*.pmk)
Settings > Macro Editor > Export > Save Pyramix Macro file (*.pmm)
Backup Files
Create a backup copy of the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Merging Technologies\Pyramix Virtual Studio\Templates
C:\Program Files\Merging Technologies\Pyramix Virtual Studio\Reports
C:\PMX Media
C:\PMX_ALT_BACKUP
Backup Mixer Presets
THIS SECTION IS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE USED THE ORGANIZE PAGE OF THE PYRAMIX MIXER
IF YOU HAVE NOT USED THIS FUNCTION OF PYRAMIX, PLEASE SKIP TO THE UNINSTALL STEP
Start Menu > Run > regedit
For User presets, navigate to:
My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Merging Technologies\Pyramix\Presets
Right Click on this folder in the left hand pane
Choose Export > Export to a registry backup file (*.reg)
For Global presets, navigate to:
My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Merging Technologies\VS3UI\Presets
Right Click on this folder in the left hand pane
Choose Export > Export to a registry backup file (*.reg)
Uninstall
Start Menu > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
Uninstall Virtual Transport
Uninstall Pyramix
Uninstall Windows Driver Package – Philips Semiconductors (PNX1300) MEDIA
If MassCore is installed, Uninstall RTX 8.1
Don’t Reboot
Run Pyramix Cleanup 1.7
Reboot
Install
Install Pyramix: ‘complete’ install option
Reboot
Start Menu > Control Panel > MT Security Settings
Import Key
Masscore (If not using MassCore, skip this step)
Select MassCore Tab
Click Install MassCore RunTime button
Reboot
VS3 Settings
Start Menu > Control Panel > VS3 Control Panel
Mykerinos Mode - Tick Cards ‘on bus’ and select TC/Clock Master
Masscore - Tick Cards ‘on bus’ and select TC/Clock Master
Native - Select ASIO/Directsound Driver
Restore Backup Files
ONLY FOR THOSE WHO USE THE PYRAMIX MIXER ORGANIZE SECTION*
Copy Backed up folders into C:\Program Files\Merging Technologies\Pyramix Virtual Studio\
With Pyramix Closed, double click *.reg files to reimport User/Global presets
Within Pyramix, re-import any settings that were backed up (All Settings/Shortcuts/Macros)
** The transition from V6 to V6.1 Mixer configurations can result in ‘old’ mixers causing issues with V6.1. Always aim to build mixers from new to take advantage of the improved mixer optimizations.
